Caroline Button
Counsellor
Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.
- Helen Keller
My area of expertise is disability. I am passionate about enabling and empowering individuals to live the best life they can despite the obstacles and experiences life has thrown at them. Acknowledging that at times, we all need a supportive professional to help find a way through the rollercoaster of life, to manage and overcome difficulties; to live with life's challenges; to mourn and recover from trauma and loss.

What is Counselling?
Counselling is a type of talking therapy. It provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk about your issues and concerns by exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others.
A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice, or prescribe medication. They will help you find your own solutions, whether it's effective change or finding ways to cope with ongoing difficulties.
I can also offer Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy helps people of all ages overcome challenges completing everyday tasks or activities - what we call occupations.
By looking at the relationship between the activities you do every day and the challenges you face in your environment, we find a practical, realistic personal plan of goals and adjustments to help your live a more balanced and meaningful life.
